The Oil Kingdom – Brunei

Please pardon me my post has nothing to do with oil drilling or extraction.  Just another makan post in Brunei :p

Kuala Belait (KB).

It is a really small town but apparently this is the “Orchard Road”  (spotted some foreign brands, Royce, Face Shop, Body Shop, Laneige) Lol!

WYWY (left).  You should try this restaurant as they have a variety of food!

Zaika Restaurant (right).  Don’t bother to try and it is pricey.

Kaizen Sushi at the town.

This is the best Japanese restaurant in Brunei.

Brunei is well known for Japanese foods  (even Miri folks will flock to Brunei during weekends for Japanese foods!).  Not sure why though because Brunei do not have many Japanese.

Sushi conveyor belt @ Kaizen wtf!

IMG_4920

Taj restaurant.

Teh Tarik Special only in Brunei (aka Brunei teh tarik).  It is very aromatic (like bandung/cendol) lol!

Salt Tapas & Bar @ Raffles City

I just got to write this post!

On the special day, my dear hubby brought me to this place which I really love.

Salt Tapas – originated from Australia.

Standard set lunch @ $30+ for a chicken set.  Additional $10 for the main selection for roasted barramundi (fish) with squid, tomato & chorizo (sausage).

Fried oysters in chickpea cumin batter (price by piece)

Flat bread @ $6+

The food is so love 🙂

IMG_4796I especially like the outdoor dining so cozy! (except staff service could be better)

It has been ages we had such an enjoying meal and the lovely chatting session!  Life are too much of busy-ness and we tend to forget the meaning of living.  I felt so bless on that particular day (lol!) and I cannot ask for more.
