Undiscovered gem of Bali!

Clearing back(travel)log but I think I am doing quite good ady because at least these are still 2014!  Been to Bali once (for photoshoot) but didn’t have much time to explore so hey we are back again.  It’s gonna be a relax trip and no more hectic jam-pack itinerary!

The most awesome thing about this trip is the flight ticket.  Let me give a big THANK YOU to Jetstar!  I got a good steal less than $30 for 2 pax (no baggage).

1

Cheers while waiting for our 7am flight!

3

Say hi to Kuta town!  It was such an embarrass that we missed Kuta in our last Bali trip.  Just like you go England without visiting London wtf.  So we are here just for a ‘complete’ Bali trip.

2

The god of gate – uniquely to Bali only

4

Fairy tale?

5

Kuta beach – as usual town beach was too crowded and commercialised.  I still prefer the private beach in Marriott (Nusa Dua).

6

We want pork ribs so driver brought us here.  Normally we don’t take their recommendation because we have enough info from our best friend (Google).  We accept this time because feeling bad for keep rejecting.  Food was ok but the place is super hot so this explain why we need a beer =D

7

Uluwatu – one of the Bali top attractions

8

These monkeys are “mischievous” (violent) and smart they will steal your belongings from hat to slipper in exchange for food.

9

Wow!!! ?

Don’t conclude as yet!

We pretty much covered for a half day trip so time to check in to our lovely Hotel Rimba at Jimbaran.  You may not have heard of it but I am sure you know Ayana (one hotel the top hotels in Bali).  It is the sister hotel of Ayana.

10

Welcome drink =)

Checking-in was quite slow (due to groups) so let me take a few pictures of the hotel first.

12

Round seats surronded by water(fall) – Signature of the hotel

11

Main entrance to the lobby.

15a

Another view from outside

So below the waterfall is the restaurant

While I am lazing on the couch, I saw something and awake @_@ !

13

Bamboos hanging on the ceiling wtf!  This can be creative deco but at the same time hazardous.

14

Love simming pool!

15

It will be pefect to do a massage here after a long day walk.

Guest of Hotel Rimba can also use the facilities in Ayana though it is located in a separate building (few minutes tram ride).

After touring the hotel, we still couldn’t check in (late by an hour).  The hotel qucikly calm us down by giving us free access to the bar and complimentary drinks (double thumbs up for their good PR).

16

Nice bar (little warning here mosquitoes repellant is needed)

17

Hill view from the bar.

Rimba hotel was built beside Ayana so there are still big piece of undeveloped land beside Rimba.

20

Indonesian nut crackers (but I got attracted to the bowl made from real coconut) Lol!

19

Mojito and lychee martini – perfect for a hot sunny day

18

Life is just so awesome like that =D

21

Treasure your love ones while you still can (especially after the incident of MH370 life can be so fragile).

Room is ready!

22

Nice room (run out of caption)

A little regret that we never make use of the balcony due to lots of blood sucker (mosquitoes)

23

The coolest bathtub that I have seen

I like the bathtub design but not the sink which is not practical.  It is way too small and causing water leakage and the bathroom floor is wet all the time.

24

View from our room (lots of greenery)

Heading to the Rock Bar at Ayana to catch the sunset (hopefully).

25

This is more than a name of a bar.  It is indeed a bar on the rocks.

26

Can you see? (I am actually on top of the hill)

Still wondering how to get there?

27

by this little vehicle which can only fit 5-6 pax at a time.

Waiting time (return) was long so queue was super long too especially from 5-7pm (sunset).

There is ‘minimum’ order (one drink per pax) for hotel guest.  For public, I think is by minimum spending.  Though the drink is quite pricy but totally worth the experience.

28

Lychee martini and Rock My World!

Can you spot the splash? No?

34

Here you go!

29

Yummiest fries and very generous portion! If no plan for dinner, I would try all the tidbits.

38

Heaven for alcoholic

39

Get drunk tonight!

I can’t decide which sunset photos so might as well post everything.

31

Sunset #1

32

Sunset #2

33

Sunset #3

35

Sunset #4

36

Sunset #5

37

Pano view.  This cliff is much more stunning than Uluwatu.

Had Indonesian food for dinner at Ayana (Padi Restaurant)

40

Ikan pepes and Rendang daging

41

Yes had coconut for breakfast!

Time to head to the Ayana’s private beach (hoping it is equally good as Marriott).

42

OMG can you see? can you see?

45

Got to walk all the way down the hill (stairs) wtf

43

Very clean beach but no white sands T_T

44

The wave can kill!  Got scared and ruined my beach holiday!

46

Stop by Ayana

47

Wedding chapter…

48

…by the sea

Had Italian food for dinner at Ayana (Sami Sami)

49

Lobster pasta and pizza…..nom…nom…nom…

Everything was so perfect especially the awesome dessert (Panna Cotta) and price is very affordable too!

50

Super sweet mangosteen from Bali Collection (btw our hotel provide free shuttle to Bali collection on first come first serve basis)

51

Ending our last night with more beers =)

52

Ordered wrap and sandwiches on board the plane.

Very enjoyable trip and hope can come back with my parents and sister!
