Here’s what you need to prepare to cook a pot of Ba Kut Teh
(1) 1 packet Ba Kut Teh.
(2) 3 large cloves of garlics
(3) 1kg of spare ribs
(4) mushrooms, tau pok and lettuce
Put in 3 big bowls of water (3000 cc) and ingredients (1) and (2) and let it boil with big gasoline flame until the water is boiling and the smell comes out.
Then, add in (3). Wait until the water is bolied, then change to small flame then add a bit of salt (personally I also added in some oyster sauce and soy sauce) and let it simmers for 1 hour. Then add in (4) and other ingredient that you like and let it boil for a while.
Red chili, garlic and dark soy sauce. Perfect to go with the ribs!
